Tanji Bird Reserve, locally known as Karanti, is an officially protected area of The Gambia, conveniently located just a 25-minute drive from your coastal hotels. Spanning over 6 square kilometers, the reserve encompasses diverse habitat types, including the beach, tidal lagoons, mangrove swamp, coastal scrub, and dry savanna woodland.
